Q: Does operating the FLIR Infrared Camera require any formal training?
A: Although not a requirement, training is highly recommended as image intrepretation is key to a successful IR survey. Our ITC center offers in depth training courses ranging from predictive maintenance to building sciences.
Q: What if I am required to have infrared certification?
A: FLIR’s Infrared Training Center (ITC) offers a wide variety of infrared training courses leading to Level One, Two, and Three thermography certification.
Q: Can I have a demonstration prior to rental?
A: A FLIR sales manager in your area will be happy to arrange a product demonstration.

Q: What kind of camera do I need to do my infrared survey?
A: While our infrared camera systems are extremely versatile, specific applications sometimes require specific features. We would be happy to help you select an infrared camera over the phone.
Q:What cameras are available for rental?
A:We have a wide variety of systems available at any given time. Please contact our office for specific unit availability or so that we may help you select an appropriate available model.
Terms of Rental
Q: What is your minimum rental period?
A: Our minimum rental period is one week with longer rentals processed in weekly increments. Q: How quickly can I get an infrared camera system?
A: Based on availability, we can often deliver it in less than 48 hours. Times will vary, call for current delivery times.
Q: What do I need to do to rent a system?
A: Just contact our office. We will prepare a formal rental quotation and rental contract. Once signed, just return the contract to us with your payment to reserve the next available system.
Q: What are my options for payment?
A: We accept purchase orders, credit cards, cashier’s checks, and wire transfers. Q: Can I apply any of the rental fees toward my future purchase of a system?
A: Yes, FLIR Systems will apply a significant amount of your rental fees as a credit toward the purchase of a new FLIR infrared camera.
Q: Does FLIR require I have insurance to rent a system? Does FLIR provide insurance?
A: No. Flir does not require you provide proof of insurance to rent our system. While we do not offer insurance to cover the rental, we will be happy to recommend options to privately insure the rented equipment.
Q: Can I request delivery for a specific date?
A: Yes. Based upon availability, we can usually meet your specific requested delivery date. You can arrange for the system to arrive on any business day or Saturday.
Q: Once I have the camera, can I extend my rental period?
A: Yes. To extend your rental, simply contact our office prior to the end of your current rental period to arrange for an extension.

Q: Do you rent the software to conduct data analysis and generate reports?
A: Yes we do. Contact our office to arrange for any appropriate software to be shipped with your rental order.
